Abstract

The invention provides application of myristic acid in preparation of a medicine for resisting brain aging. It is found that myristic acid can effectively improve the exploration ability and space memory of naturally aged mice, improve neuron degeneration of the hippocampus, increase the percentage of hippocampus nick staining positive cells and reduce hippocampus aging marker proteins P16 and P21. Therefore, myristic acid can effectively resist brain aging and can be used for treating brain aging and brain aging related diseases, including Alzheimer's disease and encephalatrophy.
