Abstract

The route device includes route management unit and ISIS protocol unit. Virtual ID assignment table in use for coincidence relation between pointed route protocol and virtual ID assignment range is configured in ISIS protocol unit. Moreover, when receiving LSP, the coincidence relation is standard of judgment based on virtual ID to determine protocol type of LSP. The invention also discloses smoothing restarting method, which expands current well-known smoothing restarting methods. The invention requires that after accomplishing GR and after determining that the introduced other route protocols also accomplish GR, the said ISIS protocol unit just starts to update LSP corresponding to other route protocols. The invention solves issue of topology concussion of network route caused by introduced routes in GR procedure effectively.
