Embodiment Construction

[0017] According to the present invention, the non-invasive metabolic measurement method can be used to analyze and determine the blood glucose variation degree of the patient. The measuring method according to the present invention, optionally combined with the hierarchical model described here, can obtain sufficiently accurate results for home blood glucose monitoring. The method and device of the present invention can be used to monitor changes in blood glucose and / or implement lifestyle training in normal, pre-diabetic and type 2 diabetic populations.

[0018] The invention provides a method for estimating the blood sugar change of a subject without blood collection. In a specific implementation, the present invention provides a method implemented by measuring metabolic parameters related to glucose oxidation, such as heat dissipation, oxygen content of exhaled air, and velocity of exhaled air.

[0019] Heat dissipation can be measured extremly. Heat dissipation is bette...

Abstract

A method to estimate the variation of blood glucose concentration in a patient without blood sampling. The method can be implemented by measuring metabolic parameters including heat dissipation by conduction, percentage oxygen content of expired air and volume per minute of expired air. These parameters are used to calculate estimated blood glucose variation. The method can be used for a blood glucose change monitor or a teaching device for the lifeway of normal, prediabetes and II-diabetes people.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for measuring changes in human blood sugar concentration without blood sampling, in particular a method for estimating changes in blood sugar concentration by using measurable body parameters. Background technique [0002] The amount of glucose in the blood directly affects the rate of glucose oxidation. Studies have shown that hyperglycemia significantly increases the oxidation rate of carbohydrates (CHO) in both normal and type 2 diabetic populations [1, 2, 3]. [0003] Glucose oxidation is a thermogenic chemical reaction. Biological glucose oxidation produces thermal energy [4]. This may explain the experimental results of elevated facial and sublingual temperatures in diabetic subjects after intravenous glucose administration [5]. [0004] Human energy expenditure has been found to increase following an oral glucose load [6]. From this the Weir equation was derived to determine the metabolic rate, which is a me...
