Abstract

The invention discloses a system and a method for authenticating colorized face images. The system for authenticating the colorized face images comprises a network camera module, a face image conversion module and a face recognition module; and the method for authenticating the colorized face images comprises the following steps: step one, capturing the network camera module of the colorized face images; step two, converting the colorized face images into a new two-dimensional uncorrelated color space by using a PCA method; and step three, recognizing the face images in the new two-dimensional uncorrelated color space. The technical proposal of the system and the method for authenticating the colorized face images acquire the face images in a non-contact mode, the face recognition has intuitive property, passivity and non-invasive property and is a more natural, direct and convenient recognition mode, and simultaneously, the precision of the recognition result is high.
