Abstract

Provided is a radio communication system including: a terminal and a base station which reports power information at the base station to the terminal. The base station has a report cycle control unit and a report unit. The report cycle control unit normally controls a report cycle of the power information at the base station to a first cycle. When the base station is a handover destination of theterminal, the report cycle control unit controls the report cycle to a second cycle shorter than the first cycle for a certain period after completion of a handover preparation phase for generating adata path between the terminal and a network. The report unit reports power information at the base station to the terminal at the aforementioned control cycle.
