Abstract

The method for transmitting control information comprises the following steps: a base station configures a multicast broadcast single frequency network (MBSFN) subframe as unicast; the base station uses the parts next to the original control symbols of the MBSFN subframe as expanded control symbols; and the base station transmits the expanded control symbols to physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) control information for dispatching a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The invention has the following beneficial effect: the defect that the resources of the data part can not be fully utilized due to lack of the PDCCH is overcome. Meanwhile, by adopting the scheme, the resources of the PDCCH of the subframe can be expanded and backward compatibility can not be affected.
