Abstract

The invention provides a spindle brake device in a spinning machine, comprising a brake ring wholly rotating with a spindle and a brake rod used for stopping rotation of the spindle via contacting with the brake ring. The brake rod comprises a pair of clamp arms, a brake part formed on the clamp arm, and a pivot, the brake rod is in a pivot rotation on a pivot shaft between a brake position and a release position, at a brake position, the brake part is in a contact with an outer peripheral surface of the brake ring, at a release position, the brake part is away from the outer peripheral surface of the brake ring. The brake rod further comprises a locking part, which protrudes at an upper part of an upper surface of a part of the brake ring when the brake rod is in a brake position.
