The invention discloses a compound propolis composition for treating chicken infectious anemia and a preparation method thereof, relating to the technical field of animal medicaments. The preparation method of the composition comprises the following steps of: (1) performing ultrafine smashing on various components (except interferon) in a formula respectively, sieving with a 700-mesh sieve; (2) weighing 15-35 parts by weight of propolis, 5-20 parts by weight of interferon for chicken, 10-35 parts by weight of barbary wolfberry fruit and 15-30 parts by weight of Chinese angelica, and mixing for 5-10 minutes to uniform state; (3) weighing 10-30 parts by weight of prepared rehmannia, 10-30 parts by weight of Chinese thorowax root, 15-45 parts by weight of indigowoad leaf and 10-35 parts by weight of red paeony root, and mixing for 5-10 minutes to uniform state; and (4) combining the compositions obtained in the steps (2) and (3), and continually mixing for 10-15 minutes to uniform state to obtain the compound propolis composition.
