new energy, and discloses an African
spodumene beneficiation process which comprises the following steps: step 1, crushing African
spodumene ore to obtain a crushed product; step 2, carrying out ball milling on the crushed product to obtain a ball-milled product; 3, light components and heavy components in the ball-milling product are separated, and a
first light component and a first heavy component are obtained; 4, at least part of
mica particles in the
first light component are removed, and
slurry is obtained; step 5, removing slime in the
slurry to obtain a second heavy component; and step 6, carrying out first flotation treatment and second flotation treatment on the second heavy component. According to the process, ball milling is conducted firstly, then large-particle
mica is removed, then desliming is conducted, and finally flotation of
mica and
spodumene lithium concentrate is conducted, the problem that spodumene is difficult to be smoothly sorted due to the fact that the mica content is too high and the ore mud content is large is solved, compared with a traditional process, the
recovery rate of the
lithium concentrate is increased by 2%-6%, and the operation
recovery rate of spodumene is higher than 70%. Meanwhile, the invention further discloses a
system suitable for the process.
