Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine under-cover and a sewing machine capable of preventing a pedal lever and a pedal sensor from bringing into contact with a body of a machine operator even when these parts are disposed on the under-cover of the sewing machine.SOLUTION: An under-cover 200 comprises: a link mechanism 40 for transferring the vertical movement of a linking rod 31 linked to a pedal 30 to a pedal sensor 32; and the pedal sensor 32, both being provided on a side surface 251 on a rear side of the under-cover 200. This allows the link mechanism 40 to be disposed at a higher position compared with, for example, a structure in which the link mechanism 40 is provided in a control box provided in a lower part of the under-cover 200, thereby preventing the link mechanism 40 from interfering with legs of an operator so as to further improve workability of the operator.
