Abstract

The invention discloses a portable storage battery used for electric vehicles and a using method thereof. In the invention, by means of breaking up the whole into parts, the required voltage for driving an electric vehicle is subjected to layer-by-layer decomposition, and several low-voltage storage battery blocks are connected in series by a power line so as to achieve the required voltage. The portable storage battery is separable from electric vehicles and is convenient for vehicle owners to replace. The shell of the storage battery is provided with a power plug, by which the storage battery can be connected to an external charging device for charging. And the storage battery is characterized by a simple structure, convenience and rapidity. The using method of the above storage battery can realize rapid connection or separation of the portable storage battery and a storage battery box, change the traditional cumbersome battery replacing mode into a light battery replacing mode, thus avoiding the anxiety generated in vehicle owners due to the constant need of looking for a charging station, and not delaying the time and travel of the vehicle owners. The replaced portable storage battery is placed into a charging cabinet for charging during an off-peak period so as to avoid power consumption peak hours and reach the power using effect of load shifting from peak periods to off-peak periods in power grids.
