The gravimeter comprises an atom chip, a glass vacuum chamber, an ion pump, a current feedthrough, a vacuum valve and a four-way connector, wherein four openings of the four-way connector are connected with the glass vacuum chamber, the ion pump, the current feedthrough and the vacuum valve respectively; the atom chip is connected with the glass vacuum chamber; and a wire structure on the atom chip comprises a first wire in an x direction, a second wire, a third wire, a first coplanar micro waveguide and a second coplanar micro waveguide; the second wire and the third wire are in a y direction; and the first coplanar micro waveguide and the second coplanar micro waveguide are in the x direction. The method comprises the steps that the surface of the atom chip generates a three-dimensional atom trapped potential well; cold atoms are loaded into the trapped potential well; the cold atoms with different inner forms are separated and merged in a one-dimensional waveguide by the two coplanar micro waveguides; and the speed of the gravity is calculated according to interference fringes.
