The invention discloses a dielectric positive liquid crystal composition which comprises 1%-4% of a dielectric positive compound of a first dielectric positive component A shown in a general formula I, 1%-50% of a second dielectric positive component B comprising a dielectric positive compound shown in a general formula II and/or a dielectric positive compound shown in a general formula III, and 10%-80% of a dielectric neutral compound of a dielectric neutral component C shown in a general formula IV, and in addition, an optically active compound accounting for 0-0.5% of the mass sum of the liquid crystal composition is added. The dielectric positive liquid crystal composition has the characteristics of low viscosity, short response time, proper optical anisotropy and dielectric anisotropy and excellent high temperature resistance, and is particularly suitable for manufacturing of active matrix TN-TFT (twisted nematic-thin film transistor), IPS-TFT (in-plane switching-thin film transistor) or FFS (fringe field switching) liquid crystal display elements and liquid crystal displays with quick response.
