Abstract

The invention discloses a CPW (Co-Planar Waveguide) feeding broadband circular polarization antenna. The antenna comprises a dielectric substrate, elliptic grooves and a coplanar integrated waveguide feeder; the elliptic grooves are formed on the dielectric substrate; and the coplanar integrated waveguide feeder is arranged in the elliptic grooves, wherein the two elliptic grooves are of a symmetrical structure. The CPW feeding broadband circular polarization antenna has an actually measured impedance bandwidth of about 5.4GHz (which is 112.5 percent relative to a center frequency) and has a 3dB axial ratio bandwidth of 5.5GHz (which is 109 percent relative to the center frequency); and the impedance and axial ratio bandwidth of the CPW feeding broadband circular polarization antenna are greater than those of a currently disclosed single-feeding circular polarization microstrip slot antenna. Moreover, the CPW feeding broadband circular polarization antenna has the bidirectional radiation characteristic and respectively radiates right-hand circular polarized waves and left-hand circular polarized waves in the +z and -z directions.
