Abstract

The invention provides a Cu / Cr2AlC contact material and a preparation technology thereof, and relates to a powder metallurgy material. The Cu / Cr2AlC contact material has the advantages of high strength, high hardness, high electric conductivity and thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance and self-lubricating capacity. The Cu / Cr2AlC contact material comprises 80-99% of Cu and 1%-20% of Cr2AlC in percentage by mass. The preparation technology comprises the following steps of (1) preparing Cr2AlC powder by the pressureless sintering of chromium powder, aluminium powder and graphite powder in proportion, wherein an inert gas is used as a protective gas; (2) putting the Cr2AlC powder prepared in the step (1) and copper powder in proportion in a ball mill for ball milling, thus obtaining uniformly mixed powder; and (3) putting the powder obtained in the step (2) in a graphite mold for hot pressed sintering, thus obtaining the Cu / Cr2AlC contact material provided by the invention, wherein the inert gas is fed in the sintering process so as to serve as the protective gas.
