Abstract

The invention discloses a policy and charging enforcement rules function (PCRF) server and a message forwarding method thereof. A plurality of message processing nodes are arranged in a PCRF server, so that a supported user number can meet the demand of network deployment. The message forwarding method is provided by the PCRF server; the PCRF server comprises a plurality of message processing nodes. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a CCR (credit control resuest) message sent by PDN gateway equipment of a packet data network; getting network address information of the PDN gateway equipment from the CCR message; determining the message processing nodes corresponding to the network address information by looking up a first forwarding table stored in advance according to the network address information, wherein the first forwarding table comprises a corresponding relation between the network address information of the PDN gateway equipment and the message processing node; forwarding the CCR message to the message processing node corresponding to the network address information.
