Abstract

The invention provides an air purifier which can generate negative ions, has no fans, is small in size, and can allow lots of the negative ions to diffuse to indoor space. The air purifier includes a positive electrode having a circular opening part and a negative electrode having a top part, the negative electrode is arranged on the central line of the opening part, and the positive electrode and the negative electrode are arranged oppositely to form opposite electrodes; the high voltage is applied to the opposite electrodes, and then the opening part generates negative ion wind; and the air purifier is provided with a current detector and an alarm which can give an alarm based on the detected increase in the current.
