Abstract

The invention discloses a 4G-and-DSRC-technology-based vertical handover decision-making method of a heterogeneous network. A decision tree is formed by using four parameters to carry out decision making of heterogeneous network handover; and the algorithm complexity is low. The four parameters are parsed rapidly from a parameter file of a base station or a message packet of a roadside node, so that the decision making speed is increased and the calculation becomes simple. With full consideration of the radiation radius of a DSRC network signal, multi-step decision making is carried out on heterogeneous network handover of a vehicle-mounted unit in a ping-pong effect and then two parameters of a relative driving direction D and a signal intensity difference delta d of the vehicle-mounted unit and the roadside node are introduced, so that the decision making speed is increased and the ping-pong effect during the handover process is avoided. According to the invention, on the basis of multi-factor consideration, connecting time of a vehicle-mounted unit with a DSRC port of a roadside node is prolonged and thus the time of access to a DSRC network is prolonged.
