The passive unfolding and folding guide mechanism comprises rope collection mechanisms, guide steel wire ropes, hinge joint pieces and cables, wherein the hinge joint pieces are mounted on hinges between the flexible solar panels at intervals; the guide steel wire ropes are mounted on the back surfaces of the flexible solar panels, one ends of the guide steel wire ropes wind around the rope collection mechanisms on a fixed box board, and the other ends of the guide steel wire ropes penetrate the hinge joint pieces to be fixedly connected with a movable box board; the herringbone cables are mounted on two sides of the flexible solar array.
