Abstract

The invention relates to an energy modulation device for particle treatment and a using method of the energy modulation device. The energy modulation device comprises a horizontal moving motor, a horizontal moving support mechanism, a modulator support mechanism, a rotary motor, a fan-shaped energy modulator disc. The horizontal moving motor is installed on one side of the horizontal moving support mechanism and is capable of driving the horizontal moving support mechanism to horizontally move. The fan-shaped energy modulator and the rotary fan are respectively arranged on upper and lower sides of the modulator support mechanism. The rotary motor is capable of driving the fan-shaped energy modulator to rotate. According to the invention, by use of fan-shaped object block with a curve fan which is uniformly changed in the radial and axial directions, Bragg peak extension in different widths of particle beams is achieved; by only using one device, and defects for requirement of multiple modulators are avoided without frequently changing modulators with different widths, so treatment procedures are simplified, treatment time is shortened and manufacturing cost is reduced.
