A mirror image is made for a physical magnetic disk where a Sybase database of a client side is located, so that a mirror image roll of the Sybase database is obtained; the mirror image roll of the Sybase database is snapshot, and a snapshoot picture of the mirror image roll and the snapshooting time point are obtained; backup of the Sybase database is achieved; when the Sybase database suffers from disaster recovery, the Sybase database is restored based on the snapshot picture of the mirror image roll and the snapshooting time point. Backup of the Sybase database is guaranteed, and it is guaranteed that when data is lost, the Sybase database can be fast restored to any restoration time point target.
