Abstract

A connector module assembly (148) includes a plurality of communication connectors (170) arranged side-by-side and secured together as a communication module (172). Each communication connector has a contact array (206) arranged within a shroud (192) at a mating interface (176) mated with a corresponding pluggable module. The connector module assembly includes a gasket plate (174) coupled to the communication module having at least one sheet (220) positioned between the communication module and the pluggable modules and spanning across and between each of the communication modules. The gasket plate has a plurality of openings (230) receiving corresponding shrouds. The gasket plate has pluggable module interfaces around each of the openings for interfacing with mating ends of the pluggable modules. The gasket plate is conductive to provide EMI shielding at the pluggable module interfaces.
