Abstract

The invention discloses a data transmission system and method. The method is applied to a mobile terminal and an external device connected with the mobile terminal through a USB. The mobile terminal comprises a first modem connected with a first subscriber identity module card and a second subscriber identity module card, a first temporary buffer and a first application processor. The external device comprises a second application processor, a second temporary buffer and a second modem. The second application processor acquires a to-be-transmitted data package according to a detected data transmission instruction, and caches the to-be-transmitted data package in the second temporary buffer so as to enable the first application processor to acquire the to-be-transmitted data package from the first temporary buffer, wherein capacities of the first temporary buffer and the second temporary buffer are equal to a sum of a default capacity and an increase value, and a sum of the default capacity and the increase value is greater than or equal to the size of the to-be-transmitted data package. When the mobile terminal and the external device transmit telecommunication card data, the mobile terminal is easy to crash. The data transmission system and method solves the above problem.
