According to the method, fault injection is carried out on the part of or all of messages among first messages to obtain second messages; according to faults injected into the first messages and message receiving time, a message forbidding signal and a message triggering signal that correspond to each of the second messages are obtained;and on the basis of the message forbidding signal and message triggering signal corresponding to each of the second messages, the messages needing to be sent to a second controller among the second messages are sent to the second controller within corresponding message sending time, so that the response made by the second controller receiving the fault message is tested. Therefore, a problem of lack of a method of CAN bus fault injection for J1939 type messages is solved.
