The method includes the steps that a first storage unit receives a backup instruction input by a user, analyzes the backup instruction to obtain data to be backed up and a backup time; when system time reaches the backup time, the data to be backed up and a backup frequency parameter corresponding to the backup time are determined; a first copy instruction is generated and sent to a second storage unit; the second storage unit acquires the data to be backed up from the first storage unit according to address information of the data tobe backed up, and the data to be bucked up is stored locally in the second storage unit as backed up data; a second copy instruction is generated and then sent to a third storage unit when the backedup data matches with the data to be backed up; the third storage unit copies the backed up data from the second storage unit according to the second copying instruction; when the backup frequency parameter is a first backup frequency parameter, local data is obtained; the data to be backed up and the local data are compared according to a data identifier, updated data of the local data is obtained, and the local data is updated according to the updated data.
