Abstract

The invention discloses a method of using a mobile phone to scan a barcode to monitor vehicle status. The method comprises the steps of: S1, setting the vehicle identity barcode on an automobile, wherein vehicle information is stored on the barcode; S2, scanning the vehicle identity barcode by a mobile-phone terminal through a camera to obtain the vehicle information; S3, transmitting the vehicleinformation and GPS information of the mobile-phone terminal to a PC monitoring terminal through a network; and S4, drawing a vehicle information form by the PC monitoring terminal according to the vehicle information from the mobile-phone terminal. The method has the advantage that the vehicle status can be monitored at any time in real time by borrowing handheld terminal equipment with a cameraand a GPS function and using an existing production process in a vehicle production down-line process.
