Problems solved by technology

[0003] A disadvantage of the known couplings is that during the assembly of the truss structure work has to be done with a relatively large number of parts
Also, locking pins and cotter pins are relatively small components and thus easily lost
Another disadvantage is that during the assembly of the structure, in order to fix it, the locking pin must be hammered into the hole of the coupling part, and this can cause noise disturbances in some cases

Embodiment Construction

[0089] Female coupling part 2 ( figure 1 ) comprises a tubular receiving part 4 around a side wall of which a hole 6 is provided. The outer end 8 comprises an insertion opening 11 for receiving a male coupling part in the form of a pin, also called coupling or connector. Furthermore, a stop ring 10 is arranged on the outer end 8 .

[0090] The female coupling part 2 further comprises a ball 12 for placement in the hole 6 . Furthermore, the female coupling part 2 comprises a locking sleeve 14 which surrounds the receiving part 4 in the installed position ( figure 2 ). As shown, the locking sleeve 14 is optionally provided with a serrated outer wall for providing a grip.

[0091] The female coupling part 2 may be provided on the structural part. The coupler 2 is for example attached to the pipe 18 of the truss ( Figure 1-Figure 3 ). The receiving part 4 of the coupling 2 is coupled, for example by screwing, with a connecting piece 50 which in turn is fixed in the pipe 1...

Abstract

The invention relates to a coupling for connecting construction parts, a truss provided therewith and associated method and use. The coupling comprises a female and a male coupling part. The female coupling part comprises: a tubular receiving part, in the wall of which an opening is provided; a ball which is placed in the opening and which is movable in radial direction of the receiving part; anda locking sleeve which is screwed onto and encloses the receiving part and which by being screw ed is movable in the longitudinal direction of the receiving part between an opened position, in which the locking sleeve allows movement of the ball in the opening for the purpose of placing / removing the male coupling part into / from the receiving part, and a closed position in which the locking sleevelocks the male coupling part in the female coupling part with the ball, wherein the male coupling part is an elongate pin which comprises in its outer wall a groove for the ball.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a coupling for connecting structural parts comprising a female coupling part and a male coupling part. In particular, the present invention relates to a coupling for connecting rigid structural members, and more particularly to trusses, also known as lattice trusses or simply trusses. A truss comprises a plurality of parallel trusses connected to each other by means of cross braces and / or braces, for example in the form of rods. By connecting these trusses to one another, a truss structure is formed which is applied, for example, as a support frame, a roof structure or a scaffolding platform. Truss structures are used, for example, to build platforms and supports. Trusses are usually made of metal or metal alloys, especially aluminum or aluminum alloys. Background technique [0002] Couplings for trusses are known from NL 1018901 and NL 1027917. The known coupling comprises a tubular female coupling part in which a male cou...
