Abstract

The invention provides a video playing method and system and equipment. The method comprises the steps that the VR equipment receives a first-resolution and first-view VR video stream sent by a serverand a second-resolution and full-view VR video stream continuously sent by the server, wherein the first resolution is higher than the second resolution; pictures of the first view are played by adopting the first-view VR video stream; when it is determined that the view changes, pictures of the current view are played by adopting the first or both two of the full-view VR video stream and the first-view VR video stream; view information carrying a parameter for indicating to change to the second view is sent to the server; a first-resolution and second-view VR video stream sent by the serveris received; and pictures of the second view are played by adopting the second-view VR video stream. According to the scheme, the problems that a network VR service is wide in occupied bandwidth and long in delay are solved simultaneously, the storage overhead of the server can be reduced, and traffic burst can be avoided.
