Abstract

The invention discloses a traditional Chinese medicine feed additive for improving the disease resistance of chickens and a preparation method thereof. The traditional Chinese medicine feed additive is prepared from the following raw materials: 30-35 parts of Rhodiola rosea L., 20-28 parts of folium isatidis, 12-18 parts of angelica sinensis, 12-18 parts of manyprickle acanthopanax roots, 6-10 parts of a mushroom extract, 6-10 parts of Viola philippica, 6-10 parts of mulberry leaves, 6-10 parts of oyster shell powder and 2-5 parts of liquorice. The invention further discloses the method for preparing the traditional Chinese medicine feed additive. According to the test results of the disease resistance, after the traditional Chinese medicine feed additive is doped into daily rations of thechickens, the resistance of the chicken to New Castle disease virus can be effectively improved, the morbidity and the death rate can be remarkably decreased, and the disease resistance of the chickens can be effectively improved; and in the process of using the traditional Chinese medicine feed additive, no untoward effect occurs to the chickens, and therefore the traditional Chinese medicine feed additive has good safety for the chickens.
