The compound tripterygium hypoglaucum gum confection comprises, by mass parts, 1-5 parts of tripterygium hypoglaucum total alkaloid, 200-400 parts of ligustrum purpurascens micropowder, 2500-3000 parts of edible gum base, 5000-5500 parts of sweetener, 30-50 parts of mint essence, 1000-2000 parts of edible softener and 200-400 parts of filler. The tripterygium hypoglaucum gum confection can be used for treating and preventingacute attack of the recurrent oral ulcers. In the early stage, 36 cases of recurrent oral ulcers are treated with traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation supplemented with the tripterygium hypoglaucum gum confection. Among them, 26 cases are cured after 4 days, another 8 cases are cured on the 5th day, 1 case is cured on the 6th day, and 1 case is cured on the 7th day.
