Embodiment Construction

[0050] refer to Figure 1 to Figure 4 , shows the first embodiment of the sound-absorbing guardrail system according to the present invention. The guardrail system is installed on the side or middle side of the road 2 and includes a series of vertically oriented struts 4 . A series of noise absorbing panels 6 are mounted on the side of the pillar 4 facing away from the road and a series of longitudinal barriers 8 are mounted on the other side of the pillar 4 facing the road 2 . Assembly profiles 14 are provided between the noise absorbing panels 6 (see figure 1 and figure 2 ) to ensure that the noise absorbing panel 6 is properly positioned and aligned.

[0051] The noise absorbing panel 6 includes a sheet 10 of noise absorbing material encased in an energy absorbing grid 12 (see image 3 ).

[0052] exist Figure 5 and Image 6 , a second embodiment of the noise absorbing barrier system according to the invention is shown. According to this embodiment, the guardrail ...

Abstract

The present invention concerns a sound absorbing guard rail system for installation at a lateral or median side of a road, said guard rail system comprises a series of supporting posts, that are preferably vertically oriented, at least one noise absorbing panel that can be mounted to said supporting posts, and a series of longitudinal guard rails mounted on the side of the guard rail system facingthe road, wherein said noise absorbing panel comprises a noise absorbing material which is encased in an energy absorbing material provided with openings.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a sound absorbing guardrail system for installation on the side of a road, said guardrail system comprising: a series of struts, preferably oriented vertically; at least one noise absorbing panel mountable on said struts; and a series of longitudinal guardrails, which are installed on the side of the guardrail system facing the road. Background technique [0002] Guardrails are placed on the side of the road, the purpose of which is to limit personal injury by trapping and slowing the vehicle to absorb the energy of vehicles veering off the road. In addition to this primary function, it has also been found attractive to provide a noise reduction device for the guardrail. [0003] Therefore, such a sound-absorbing barrier is known from EP 1 528 158 A1. Here, the sound-absorbing panels are made of aluminum or made transparent. [0004] Another example of a guardrail with noise reduction measures is known from WO 2010 / 0...
