The device comprises power equipment, back pressure equipment, ring pressure equipment, a visual formation model, temperature control equipment, pressure monitoring equipment, observation and acquisition equipment and a full-spectrum light source; the power equipment is used for providing driving force for the visual formation model; the back pressure equipment is used for adjusting the internal pressure of the visual formation model; the ring pressure equipment is used for maintaining the internal pressure of the visual formation model; the temperature control equipment is used for simulating the reservoir temperature; the pressure monitoring equipment is used for monitoring a simulation experiment and the pressure of the visual formation model in real time; the full-spectrum light source is used for providing a light source; and the observation and acquisition equipment is used for displaying and recording the changes of various research objects of the visual formation model under the full-spectrum light source during the simulation experiment. The invention further provides formation penetration simulation that is accomplished using the above device.
