Abstract

The invention specifically relates to the application of microRNA-29a-3p as a target for prevention and treatment of glioma vascular mimicry. The study of the present invention shows that miR-29a-3p significantly inhibits the ability of glioma cells to invade, migrate and form vascular mimicry, and at the same time reduces the expression of vascular mimicry-related molecular markers. Furthermore, ROBO1 is a direct target of miR-29a-3p, which mediates the regulatory effect of miR-29a-3p on the formation of vascular mimicry in glioma cells. The study of exosomes overexpressing miR-29a-3p also confirmed that they can inhibit the invasion and migration of gliomas and the formation of vascular mimicry by up-regulating the content of miR-29a-3p in glioma cells. Human mesenchymal stem cell exosomes overexpressing miR-29a-3p can be used to counteract the formation of glioma vascular mimicry, and it is expected to be used as a supplement to anti-vascular therapy to improve the prognosis of glioma patients.
