The invention discloses a cultivation method considering both machine-harvested cotton plant type shaping and yield in the Hebei region. The method comprises the following steps that a, a machine-harvested cotton field is fertilized on April 15th with the application amount of nitrogen fertilizer being 18-22kg/mu; after phosphate fertilizer is applied, the content of available phosphorus in soil is 7.4-63.4 mg/kg; after potash fertilizer is applied, the content of quick-acting potassium in soil is 265-398 mg/kg; irrigating is carried out after fertilization; b, rotary tillage sowing is carried out on April 25th, covering is carried out one line by one film, planting is carried out at equal line spacing, and the line spacing is 64-68 cm; c, after seedlings emerge, final singling is conducted according to the planting density of 5000-6000 plants per mu; d, full-course chemical control is carried out on the cotton growth period, and mepiquat chloride is used for regulation and control for a small amount and multiple times; and 10-50g/mu mepiquat chloride is sprayed at the end of July for chemical capping. The method has the characteristics of quickness, convenience and cost saving, the plant type suitable for machine picking of cotton can be shaped, and the cotton yield can be increased.
