Abstract

The invention provides an application of ECCA in preparation of an anti-tumor drug. According to the invention, experiment results prove that 9-ethyl-9H-carbazole-3-formaldehyde (ECCA) can inhibit the growth of melanoma cells and induce the apoptosis of the melanoma cells in vitro and in vitro, has high anti-melanoma activity, has no toxic or side effect on normal tissue cells of a human body, and has the potential of being developed into the medicine for treating melanoma.
