A display device and a method of manufacturing the display device are provided. A display device according to an embodiment includes: a substrate; a first insulating layer disposed on the substrate and having a flat upper surface; a first conductive layer disposed on the substrate and including a first light-shielding pattern, a second light-shielding pattern, and a third light-shielding pattern separated from each other; a second insulating layer disposed on the first conductive layer; and a plurality of pixel electrodes disposed on the second insulating layer, the plurality of pixel electrodes including: a first pixel electrode in the first color pixel and disposed in the first light shielding pattern in plan view along the first direction; and a second pixel electrode in the second color pixel and covering the second light shielding pattern and the third light shielding pattern in the first direction, the second insulating layer including a first region overlapping the first pixel electrode and a second region overlapping the second pixel electrode, the upper surface of the first region and the upper surface of the second region of the second insulating layer each include a curved surface whose central portion is recessed.
