Problems solved by technology

However, when using these accessories or additional handlebars, it is difficult for the rider to control the brake operator, derailleur operator and cycle calculator (optional)
Also, these accessories can be bulky, difficult to install and relatively heavy
In addition, these accessories often do not allow efficient transfer of power from the rider to the bicycle's drive system
Additionally, these accessories often do not minimize air resistance and can be uncomfortable for the rider

[0059] See Figure 13 And 14, they show an alternative handle 112 according to the second embodiment of the present invention. The handle 112 is basically the same as the handle 12 of the first embodiment, except that the outer grip portions 124a and 124b are modified versions of the grip portions 24a and 24b of the first embodiment. More specifically, the handle 112 uses other connections between the mounting sections 150a and 150b and the cantilever sections 152a and 152b, respectively. In view of the similarities between the handles 112 and 12, the following description of the handle 112 will mainly focus on the differences. However, those familiar with the present technology will understand from this disclosure that most of the description of the handle 12 is applicable to the description of the handle 112.

[0060] The handle 112 basically includes a lateral portion 122 and a pair of (first and second) outer grip portions 124a and 124b. The lateral portion 122 is preferably t...

Abstract

The outer grip portion of the bicycle handle includes a mounting section and a cantilever section. The mounting segment has a first cross-sectional shape. The cantilever section has a second cross-sectional shape and is detachably combined with the mounting section to form a first holding section. The first and second cross-sectional shapes of the mounting segment and the cantilever segment have flush longitudinal edges coupled together to form a first annular gripping surface of the first gripping segment. The bicycle handle preferably includes a pair of outer grip portions joined to opposite ends of the transverse portion.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention generally relates to bicycle handlebars. More specifically, the present invention relates to a bicycle handle that meets aerodynamic requirements. It has a grip section formed by a mounting section and a cantilever section mounted flush with the mounting section to form a continuous annular grip surface. Background technique [0002] Cycling has become an increasingly common form of entertainment, as well as a means of transportation. In addition, cycling has become a very common amateur and professional competition sport. Whether the bicycle is used for entertainment, transportation or competition, the bicycle industry is always improving the various parts of the bicycle. A special part of bicycles that has been extensively redesigned in the past years is the bicycle handlebar. Bicycle handlebars are often redesigned to be lightweight and structurally more aerodynamic, and simple to manufacture and assemble. The bicycle handlebars hav...
