A self-standing weighted pole system for providing convenient stabilization and additional weight for an exerciser. The self-standing weighted pole system generally includes an elongated pole having a lower end and an upper end, and a base attached to the lower end of the pole. The base includes an outer end that is broader than the pole to support the pole in a substantially vertically orientated self-standing manner.

An exercise apparatus that is to be mounted in a doorway and held in position by the user's own body weight during use. In one aspect the invention comprises: first and second L-shaped members disposed in side-by-side relation, each having a horizontal section and a vertical section; a first member having a length less than a width of the doorway and connected to the vertical sections of the first and second L-shaped members; a second member having a length greater than the width of the doorway and connected to the horizontal sections of the first and second L-shaped members at a first horizontal distance from the first member; a first gripping bar connected to the horizontal section of the first L-shaped member at a second horizontal distance from the first member, the second horizontal distance being greater than the first horizontal distance; and a second gripping bar connected to the horizontal section of the second L-shaped member at approximately the second horizontal distance.

A rock climbing exerciser includes a main frame having a base member abutting against a support surface and two stands upwardly perpendicularly extending from the base member. The two stands are parallel to each other. A cyclic device is mounted between the two stands. The cyclic device includes a first drive and a second drive device synchronously operated with each other. An endless strap is mounted around the first drive device and second drive device. Multiple grips extend through the endless strap and are secured on the cyclic device for user to climb thereon. A speed reducer is mounted on one of the two stands and connected to the second drive device to reducing the moving speed of the endless strap during operating.

A freestanding back therapy and multiple exercise station on which various therapeutic, stretching, bending, twisting, extension and inversion exercises may be carried out utilizing the user's weight for fully flexing and decompressing the spine and strengthening the trunk and back muscles of the user. An upper pair of parallel vertically spaced padded tubular members extend laterally outward from each side of the central upright member near its upper portion to selectively serve either as handgrips or as elevated or leg or foot supports when performing exercises. A removable rotatable cylindrical cushioned roller is may be mounted transversely between the horizontal top members to serve as a back engaging roller or a seating surface when performing exercises. Various auxiliary exercise apparatus may be removably connected with the station for performing a variety of exercises.

An exercise console is disclosed as including a housing and a display incorporated into the housing. The display is adapted to align substantially parallel to the top surface of the housing. A tilt mechanism connects the display to the housing and is operable by a user to tilt the display to a nonparallel angle with respect to the housing. In another aspect in accordance with the invention, the exercise console includes a substantially fixed array of buttons incorporated into the housing. The buttons provide to a user various input options which are selectable in a pre-determined sequence by operation of the buttons to program the exercise console. Various indicators are associated with the buttons and inform the user which input options are next available for selection after the user has selected one or more input options.

Collapsible structures are provided that include two collapsible flexible loop members, each loop member defining a closed loop and having a first and a second edge. Each loop member is capable of assuming an expanded position and a collapsed position. Two adjacent loop members overlap each other at a first overlapping point along the upper edges of the two adjacent loop members, and at a second overlapping point along the lower edges of the two adjacent loop members. The overlapping loop members define a hinge portion about which the two adjacent loop members are pivotable, with the hinge portion positioned vertically with respect to the ground. One or more fabric pieces are provided for substantially covering each loop member, each loop member substantially supporting the fabric in particular areas so that the fabric assumes the particular configuration of the loop member in its expanded position. The loop members and their associated fabric are foldable on top of each other about their respective hinge portions to have the loop members and their associated fabric overlaying each other, and the overlaying loop members are then collapsible to the collapsed positions by twisting and folding to form a plurality of concentric rings and layers of fabric to substantially reduce the size of the structure in the collapsed position.

Trampoline accessories are described herein that may be affixed to a trampoline system to facilitate the playing of a game. These trampoline accessories may include a soccer net, a rebounding surface that will bounce a ball back to the thrower, and a catch panel that will gather the ball when the ball is thrown against the panel. These accessories may be added to either the trampoline frame of the trampoline enclosure. Deflective netting may be provided adjacent the accessories to prevent the ball and users from entering the space below the trampoline rebounding mat.

A device and method is described that can easily provide removable exercise bars from the angled portions of a structure and provide a pair of approximately horizontal bars for exercising. The method includes placing an attachment device having a pair of brackets onto co-planar and non-parallel support members. The attachment device brackets include opening for placing, removing, and securing the attachment to the support members. The height of the bars is provided according to the spacing the brackets and the support members.

A workout apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a crossbar member, a first pivot device disposed on a first end of the crossbar member, and a second pivot device disposed on a second end of the crossbar member. A first set of support legs is provided that comprises a first downwardly extending leg with one end thereof disposed in the first pivot device and pivotable therein and a second downwardly extending leg having a first end pivotably engaged with the first pivot device. The first and second downwardly extending legs are operable to pivot from a substantially parallel relationship to each other to a non-parallel relationship in a diverging form. A restraining device is provided for restraining the first and second downwardly extending legs from diverging beyond a predetermined point. A second set of support legs is provided that comprises a third downwardly extending leg with one end thereof disposed in the second pivot device and pivotable therein and a fourth downwardly extending leg having a second end pivotably engaged with the second pivot device. The third and fourth downwardly extending legs are operable to pivot from a substantially parallel relationship to each other to a non-parallel relationship in a diverging manner. A restraining device is provided for restraining the first and second downwardly extending legs from diverging beyond a predetermined point. The crossbar member and the first and second set of support legs are structurally load bearing to support the weight of an individual suspended from the crossbar member with the distal ends of the first and second downwardly extending legs of the first and second supporting sets disposed on a flat surface. A first protrusion extends from a pivot point proximate to but disposed a short distance from the end of the first leg of the first set of support legs, the first protrusion operable to pivot upward from a first position that is parallel to the crossbar member to a position that is substantially parallel to the first leg of the first set of support legs. A second protrusion is provided that extends from a pivot point proximate to but disposed a short distance from the end of the third leg of the second set of support legs, the second protrusion operable to pivot upward from a first position that is parallel to the crossbar member to a position that is substantially parallel to the third leg of the second set of support legs. The first and second protrusions in the first position extending toward each other from the respective one of the first and third legs in the respective one of the first and second sets of support legs.

Collapsible structures are provided having at least two panels, with each of the panels having a flexible loop member defining a closed loop and adapted to assume an expanded position and a collapsed position, a fabric for partially covering the loop member, with the loop member substantially supporting the fabric in particular areas so that the fabric assumes the particular configuration of the loop member when in the expanded position of the loop member. The loop members of two adjacent first and second panels overlap each other at a first overlapping point along first edges of the loop members, and at a second overlapping point along second edges of the loop members, with the overlapping loop members defining a hinge portion about which the two loop members of the first and second panels are pivotable. The structure may include a third loop member having one side which is hingedly connected to one side of the first panel. The panels are foldable on top of each other about their respective hinge portions to have the loop members and their associated fabric overlaying each other, and the overlaying loop members are then collapsible to the collapsed positions by twisting and folding to form a plurality of concentric rings and layers of fabric to substantially reduce the size of the structure in the collapsed position.

Collapsible structures are provided having at least one lower panel, each panel having a foldable frame member having a folded and an unfolded orientation, with a fabric material substantially covering the frame member to form the panel when the frame member is in the unfolded orientation. The fabric assumes the unfolded orientation of its frame member, and each panel further includes a first side, a second side, a bottom side and a top side. The first side of one panel is coupled to the second side of an adjacent panel. The collapsible structure according to the present invention further includes an upper panel having a bottom side coupled to the top side of one of the lower panels. One embodiment of the present invention relates to a portable modular hanging and pulling system comprising a first and second bearing member, two coupling members, and a modular surface. An artificial rock climbing arrangement includes a generally rigid framework removably attached to a support surface located adjacent a body of water. A panel structure is mounted on the framework for defining a climbing surface, the panel surface carrying a plurality of climbing holds. A support structure is secured between the framework and the support surface for maintaining the framework and the climbing surface in a substantially vertical orientation when a climber scales the climbing surface.
