Disclosed is a method for recognizing concentrated loads of a damaged cable progressively under the condition of generalized displacement based on hybrid monitoring. Based on hybrid monitoring, whether a mechanical calculation reference model of a cable structure needs updating or not is determined by monitoring the generalized displacement of a support, the temperature of the cable structure, an environment temperature, the variation degree of the concentrated loads and the damage degree of the damaged cable to obtain a new mechanical calculation reference model, where the generalized displacement of the support, the variation degree of the concentrated loads, the damage degree of the damaged cable and the temperatures are reckoned, of the cable structure, and the approximately-linear relation between a current numerical value vector of a monitored quantity and a current initial numerical value vector of the monitored quantity, a unit damage monitored quantity numerical value change matrix and a current nominal damage vector to be worked out is acquired based on the new mechanical calculation reference model. In this way, under the condition of the generalized displacement of the support and temperature variation, influences of interference factors can be eliminated so as to recognize the damaged cable and the variation of the concentrated loads accurately.
