Embodiment Construction
[0023] figure 1 and 2 A bone anchoring device 1 according to a first embodiment is shown. The bone anchoring device 1 comprises a uniaxial bone screw 2 and a tubular rod 20 . The bone screw 2 has a shank 3 with bone threads for anchoring in bone, a tip at one end (not shown) and a receiving portion 5 at the opposite end. The receiving portion 5 includes a generally U-shaped groove 5 a for receiving the rod 20 . By means of the groove, two free legs 5b, 5b' are formed having an internal thread 5c for receiving a locking element to fix the rod 20 in the groove.
