Problems solved by technology

However, most ants live in underground caves. We cannot intuitively observe the internal structure of ant caves and some details of their underground life. This has caused many obstacles for us to observe and study ants. The physical properties of the cave soil are similar to the transparent material suitable for the survival of ants as ant nests, so that we can observe and study some unknown details of the underground life of ants

Embodiment 1

[0016] Weigh 1 gram of Kappa-type carrageenan, 1 gram of Iota-type carrageenan, 15 grams of sucrose, 0.02 gram of water-soluble synergistic paraben, 0.02 gram of food coloring, and 100 grams of drinking water.

[0017] First put the weighed Kappa-type carrageenan, Iota-type carrageenan, sucrose and preservative into drinking water after mixing until there is no agglomerated dry matter. The soaked mixture was then heated to 100°C for 10 minutes. Finally, add food coloring to the heated mixture and stir evenly, cool at room temperature, and wait for it to solidify.

Embodiment 2

[0019] Weigh 2 grams of Kappa-type carrageenan, 0.5 grams of Iota-type carrageenan, 15 grams of sucrose, 0.02 grams of water-soluble synergistic paraben, 0.02 grams of food coloring, and 100 grams of drinking water.

[0020] First put the weighed Kappa-type carrageenan, Iota-type carrageenan, sucrose and preservative into drinking water after mixing until there is no agglomerated dry matter. The soaked mixture was then heated to 100°C for 10 minutes. Finally, add food coloring to the heated mixture and stir evenly, cool at room temperature, and wait for it to solidify.

Embodiment 3

[0022] Weigh 2 grams of Kappa-type carrageenan, 0.75 grams of Iota-type carrageenan, 15 grams of sucrose, 0.02 grams of water-soluble synergistic paraben, 0.02 grams of food coloring, and 100 grams of drinking water.

[0023] First put the weighed Kappa-type carrageenan, Iota-type carrageenan, sucrose and preservative into drinking water and soak until there is no agglomerated dry matter therein. The soaked mixture was then heated to 100°C for 10 minutes. Finally, add food coloring to the heated mixture and stir evenly, cool at room temperature, and wait for it to solidify.

Abstract

Provided is a gelatin for breeding ants and process for preparation. The gelatin of the invention comprises the following proportional raw materials by weight: 1-2 parts of Kappa-carrageenan, 0.5-1 part of Iota- carrageenan, 10-16 parts of sucrose, 0.015-0.02 part of preservative and 100 parts of drinking water. The method for preparation is that first Kappa-carrageenan, Iota-carrageenan, sucrose and preservative which are specified quantity are blended to soak into drinking water until no caking dry matter exists, and then after the mixture is soaked, the mixture is heated to 100 DEG C for 10 minutes, and at last after the mixture is heated, the mixture is cooled and coagulated. Experimental observation has proved that the gelatin of the invention has the advantages that the physical property of the gelatin is similar to soil-physical property in ants cave, the gelatin is suitable for the existence of ants, has high transparency and comprises sugar which is capable of maintaining ants' life and the like, and beneficial to observe and research the underground life detail of ants.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of biology and colloid compounding, and in particular relates to a gel for cultivating ants and a preparation method thereof. Background technique [0002] Ants are one of the oldest organisms on earth, with a huge number, a variety of species, and a wide global distribution. Even in the current era, when humans are wreaking havoc on the environment, causing mass extinctions, ants are still not visibly affected. And what some ants do is amazing. The "Science" magazine of the United States once reported the results of research on "ant farming". Studies have shown that ants have a longer "farming" experience than humans. Ants have been farming for 50 million years, which is much longer than humans have been farming for only 10,000 years. Ant crops are mushroom-like fungi that are cultivated in anthills. In total, the scientists identified 553 species of ant-growing fungi. Just like humans grow crops, ant...
