Abstract

The invention provides an information processing apparatus and a power supply control method for the information processing apparatus. According to one embodiment, there is provided an information processing apparatus including a power supply unit which outputs a voltage when an external AC current is supplied to the power supply unit, a nonvolatile memory, a volatile memory, and a control unit to which the nonvolatile memory and the volatile memory are connected and which performs control to transfer a program from the nonvolatile memory to the volatile memory when the voltage is supplied from the power supply unit to the control unit.
