[0018] The part of the sealing plug that is the same for all these examples is designed to seal a circular cross-section hole 11 in a steel wall 12 of a liquid or gas container. The plug comprises a radially expandable body consisting of a cylindrical shell 13 . The shell can be radially expanded by approaching only the upper end of the shell through which an elongated rod 15 protrudes. The extension is provided with circumferential ridges and grooves 16 by means of which the rod communicates with the Figure 4 and Figure 6 The jaws 34 of the installation tool are shown engaging. The abutment 17 of the rod has no groove and extends into a bore 18 of the housing. The adjoining portion 17 is connected to the integral head 19 , 21 by a breakneck 22 .
