Method, device and system for transmitting and receiving service data

A service data and service technology, applied in the field of passive optical network, can solve the problems of inflexible user applications, inability to meet the needs of multiple services, and the inability of GEM port address space to meet the refined classification and control of users and communication services. To expand the number of ports, solve the shortage of GEM port address space, and improve the effect of practical applications

Problems solved by technology

[0006] It can be seen from this that the existing service data transmission method can only support the transmission of fixed types of service data, and cannot meet the user's needs for multiple services, making the user's application not flexible enough
In addition, the GEM port address space currently supported by GPON is 4K. With the increasing number of users and types of communication services, especially when IP is carried over GEM, the 4K GEM port address space is far from being sufficient for users and communication services. How to expand the GEM port address space of GPON has become a technical problem due to the fine classification and control requirements of services

Abstract

The invention discloses a method, a device and a system for transmitting and receiving service data. A transmitting terminal encapsulates service data to be transmitted into GEM frames in a passive optical network encapsulating mode and transmit the encapsulated GEM frames to optical fibers for transmission, wherein the GEM frames comprise service type identifiers which indicate the types of service data; accordingly, a receiving terminal receives the GEM frames and decapsulates the GEM frames to obtain the service data and the service type identifiers of the service data; and the receiving terminal identifies the service types of the service data according to the service type identifiers and carries out service processing corresponding to the service types. The method for encapsulating the service data comprises the steps: allocating the service data to be transmitted into a payload field; adding an internal field carrying port identifiers on the basis of the payload field; and addingexternal GEM frame headers carrying port identifiers on the basis of the internal field, thus the port identifiers carried by the external GEM frame headers and the port identifiers carried by the internal field together identify the port information of the service data.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of passive optical networks, in particular to a service data sending and receiving method, device and system. Background technique [0002] With the continuous and rapid development of the Internet and the popularization of personal computers, various value-added multimedia and IP services have surged, and the existing access technologies cannot meet the huge bandwidth requirements, which has become the "bottleneck" of the entire network development. The huge bandwidth resources brought by the fiberization of the backbone network drive people to consider implementing fiber optics and broadband in the access network, and then gradually formed the GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network, Gigabit Passive Optical Network). [0003] The layered model structure of the GPON protocol includes GPM (GPON Physical Media DependentLayer, gigabit passive optical network physical medium related layer) and GTC (GPON Transmission Conver...
