Embodiment approach
[0043]According to an example embodiment of the present invention, the belt reinforcement package 40 includes a pair of working belt layers 41 , 42 . The belt layer 41 is located radially inwardly with respect to the belt layer 42 . The belt layer 41 has a belt width approximately equal to the tread arc width. Preferably, the belt width of the belt 41 is exactly equal to the tread camber. The fold angle of the belt 41 is between about 16 and 30 degrees, preferably has a leftward orientation, and more preferably between about 19 and about 25 degrees. Belt knuckles are measured relative to the circumferential direction. The belt 41 is preferably made of steel with a 4+3×0.35 structure. The % elongation at 10% load at break may be from about 0.18 to about 0.26, more preferably greater than 0.2. The % elongation is measured on cords taken from vulcanized tires. For cord blanks, the % elongation at 10% load at break may be from about 0.2% to about 0.27%.
