Abstract

The invention provides a method for artificial fertilization and hatching of hexagrammos otakii, which is used for solving the problems that spawns of the hexagrammos otakii in marine fishes have low fertilization rate and hatchability because the spawns have viscosity and become agglomerates when meeting sea water. The method adopts an artificial method to shape the spawns of the hexagrammos otakii into a planar type and then perform fertilization to prevent the viscid spawns from becoming the agglomerates so as to ensure that the spawns can fully and effectively contact sperms during the fertilization, the spawn fertilization rate is improved and can reach 93 percent under an artificial condition; besides, the method adopts hanging type hatching for spawn segments after artificial planar shaping to ensure that oosperms can obtain sufficient dissolved oxygen during the hatching and greatly improve the hatchability of the oosperms. Experiments show that the hatchability of the oosperms reaches 85 percent and is far more than 56 percent which is achieved under the conditions of the prior art.
