The inter-cell interference suppression method is particularly applied to the downlink of a mobile communication system for orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA), and comprises the following steps of: judging whether the users on the cell edge can operate the macro diversity technology; performing the rapid and dynamic selection of the frequency reusing technology and macro diversity technology for the users on the cell edge, wherein the selection method is based on an instant link signal quality indicator; and configuring central sub-frequency bands or frequency subchannel of the edge sub-frequency bands for the users on the cell edge according to the selected result.
