Abstract

The invention provides a grating two-dimensional / three-dimensional (2D / 3D) switchable display device. The device mainly comprises a deformation columnar lens grating and a 2D display, wherein two types of transparent liquid which cannot be mixed and dissolved are filled in the deformation columnar lens grating; the refractive indexes of the two types of transparent liquid are different and the densities are similar or the same; the two types of transparent liquid are separated by a transparent elastic thin film; two surfaces of the elastic thin film are supported by a plurality of transparentsupporting boards; the deformation of the elastic thin film is realized and controlled by driving the liquid to flow under an external force under the supporting of the supporting boards; and the deformation of the elastic thin film comprises a planar shape and a columnar shape. When the device is switched to a 2D mode, the elastic thin film is deformed into the planar shape and the deformation columnar lens grating is free from a function of a lens and used for 2D displaying; and when the device is switched to a 3D mode, the elastic thin film is deformed into the columnar shape and the deformation columnar lens grating has the function of the lens and is used for 3D displaying.
