[0091] [Catalyst preparation]

[0092] Add 30.0 g of silica gel powder (manufactured by Fuji Silysia Chemical Co., Ltd., CARIACT Q-15) to a 300 ml eggplant-shaped flask, and then add a solution obtained by dissolving 6.4 g of silver lactate 0.5 hydrate (manufactured by Wako Pure Chemical Industries) in 100 ml of ion-exchanged water . Water was distilled off at 40 to 50° C. under a reduced pressure of 10 mmHg, and dried overnight in a nitrogen stream. Next, the temperature was raised from 100° C. to 320° C. over 5 hours in a hydrogen atmosphere to perform a reduction treatment. After cooling, 32.9 g of a 10% Ag / silica gel catalyst (supported catalyst) was obtained as a black powder.

[0093] [production of cumene]

[0094] Using a fixed bed reactor equipped with a feed pump for high pressure, a hydrogen mass flowmeter for high pressure, a nitrogen mass flowmeter for high pressure, an electric furnace, a reactor with a catalyst filling part, and a back pressure valve, the pre...

Abstract

Disclosed are: a method for producing an alkylated aromatic compound in high yield in a single reaction step using a ketone, an aromatic compound, and hydrogen as starting materials; and a method for producing phenol including the method as part of steps without increasing the number of steps as compared with a conventional cumene method. The method for producing an alkylated aromatic compound comprises reacting an aromatic compound such as benzene, a ketone such as acetone, and hydrogen in the presence of a solid acid substance, preferably zeolite and a catalyst containing silver.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method for producing a corresponding alkylated aromatic compound by reacting an aromatic compound with a ketone and hydrogen, and a method for producing phenol including the method in a part of the process. Specifically, it relates to a method for producing an alkylated aromatic compound by reacting a ketone, an aromatic compound, and hydrogen in a single reaction step using a specific catalyst, and a method for producing phenol including this method in a part of the process. Background technique [0002] A method of producing cumene by reacting benzene and propylene, a method of producing cumene hydroperoxide by oxidizing cumene, and a method of producing phenol and acetone by decomposing cumene hydroperoxide acid are already known, and these reactions are combined The method is the phenol production method generally called the cumene method, which is currently the mainstream of the phenol production method.
