Abstract

Method and system for safely deactivating landmines of any type, buried in a minefield, that can be used, without distinction, for locating, removing and detonating landmines, comprising the provision of a source of water or other fluid that is pressurized and directed towards the minefield, where said water or other fluid is discharged in the form of one or more jets with a force such that the mines buried in the minefield are revealed, removed or detonated; then any elements used for transferring and discharging the flow of water or other pressurized fluid and that have been damaged by the explosions are replaced and sweeping of the minefield continues.
